Represented the City of Los Angeles in connection with four matters – two Los Angeles federal district court cases involving disability rights claims, a federal whistle blower investigation, and a Housing & Urban Development (“HUD”) investigation. Obtained summary judgment for the City in one of the district court cases one week prior to trial, summary judgment was affirmed by the 9th Circuit following our oral argument. Our Firm spent several years litigating the other three matters before the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office stepped back in and resumed the representations.

Represented as co-counsel a major health care provider in connection with a wrongful death lawsuit arising from a suicide at one of its facilities. Reached a favorable settlement following several protracted mediations.

Represented a business executive and his company in federal district court in Los Angeles for breach of contract, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, misappropriation of trade secrets, negligent misrepresentation, and promissory estoppel. Representation commenced late in the proceedings, assisting out-of-state co-counsel in litigating and successfully negotiating a beneficial settlement following extensive pre-trial discovery.

Represented a large corporate entity with numerous offices throughout the United States in California state court breach of contract actions against various vendors. Were able to successfully settle all cases in the client’s favor on a cost-effective basis.

Represented husband and wife plaintiffs in an arbitration (originally filed in Los Angeles Superior Court) in an action to recover a portion of their business that had been taken without compensation. Settled the case to our clients’ satisfaction following a successful mediation.

Represented individuals in deposition testimony and responding to civil discovery requests.
