Significant Matters



Theft

  • Represented Los Angeles based businessman charged in state court in Los Angeles County with robbery and criminal threats in conjunction with a dispute over ownership of a motorcycle. Case was resolved for a no jail time misdemeanor.

Driving Under the Influence

  • Represented Los Angeles entrepreneur charged in state court in Los Angeles County with felony DUI with injury and causing great bodily injury after traffic collision. Negotiated case settlement where client plead no contest to a single misdemeanor count of DUI.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • Represented former U.S. government official charged in state court in Los Angeles County with misdemeanor Vehicle Code violation. Charge dismissed.

Misdemeanor

  • Represented an executive with a Southern California financial services firm charged in state court in Los Angeles County with a misdemeanor violation for leaving the scene of an accident. Charges dismissed after investigation and medical evidence exonerated our client of wrongdoing.

Vehicular Manslaughter

  • Represented local graduate student charged in state court in Los Angeles County with multiple misdemeanor counts of vehicular manslaughter stemming from freeway pile up. Case resolved for a plea to a lesser charge of engaging in a speed exhibition and no jail time.

Weapons Offenses

  • Represented numerous individual travelers arrested at LAX for possession of weapons during TSA screening process. Cases have been resolved with no formal criminal charges filed.

Domestic Violence Matters

  • Represented women charged in state court in Los Angeles with domestic violence involving husbands or co-habitant boyfriends. In each case, the criminal cases have been resolved for lesser charges and no jail time.

  • Represented Oklahoma business executive arrested for domestic violence in Palm Springs. Extensive negotiations with Riverside County authorities resulted in no criminal charges being filed.

Obstruction of Justice

  • Represented private investigator in criminal investigation by the Santa Barbara district attorney’s office. No criminal charges were filed against the private investigator.

Felony Possession

  • Represented former local college football player charged in state court in San Bernardino County with felony possession of painkillers without a prescription. Charge was dismissed before trial.

Human Trafficking

  • Represented Los Angeles business executive charged with human trafficking stemming from a dispute with a household domestic worker. Case resolved for a misdemeanor with no jail time sentence.
